Most Haunted Christmas Spirits

Ok, probably a bit later than it should have been, but let's face it, the DVD is not as Christmassy as the title would like to imply (your turn to read the Trades Descriptions act, Karl), so it doesn't matter that much.

The team for this investigation of The Wardrobe/Rifles Museum in Salisbury, Wiltshire were:

Yvette Fielding - Presenter (Obviously!)
Phil Whyman - Paranormal Investigator (I'm glad he's back but I already miss Ciaran.)
Fred Batt - 'Historian' - that doubles as a 'Demonologist'/'Witchcraft Expert'/'Master of the Dark Arts (glad to see they're not overly dramatic about it,)/ex-NightClub/StripClub Owner/'actor'/'singer'/Karl+Yvette's best mate/'reincarnated Knight Templar'/winner of the Glass Mansion Owner's Stone Throwing Contest 2010 (joke) and have I missed anything? If I'm honest, I'd rather they'd had someone else, I'd have loved Richard Felix to come back, but I accept he probably wouldn't, but I'd have liked to have seen Dr. John Callow as we never did get the measure of him.
Karl Beattie
Cath Howe
Stuart Torevell
Chris Burton - Cameraman
Matt Chance - Soundman
Simon Lucas - Camera Assistant

There is a thread about it on the Most Haunted Forum complete with a picture of the DVD cover, a trailer for the episode and a discussion about it too: http://www.mosthauntedforum.com/thread-most-haunted-christmas-spirits

DVD available on Amazon, Play.com, HMV and elsewhere too.

According to the Facebook page Most Haunted: The Next Generation, Most Haunted will be back in 2012, in the words of Karl "Bigger and Better than ever before!" MWHAHAHA!

So there we are, TPTBeattie have spoken.

I wanna see that! I haven't seen it yet but if anyone has do tell! Please :D, because all I can make out on that fourm is them taking the piss out of Most Haunted and nothing I actually want to know about the episode.

As if it's not said enough already, if you don't like it why are you watching it and bitching about it? Man some people....

*Note to Self, need new MH icon*

Were you able to view the trailer alright? (Sometimes they can have problems loading)

There are a few reviews on Amazon for it which might give a better indication of the episode: http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B00606NSJ8/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

I'll have you know that one of the users of that forum is, to quote Sir Humphrey Appleby on Yes, Minister "One whom your present interlocutor is in the habit of defining by means of the perpendicular pronoun... It was...I." ;-)
We don't mean anything by the piss-taking, it's just that we get exasperated by some of the goings on and actions of the team and a few of us have become a bit disillusioned over time. We're good people really, Bogeys, Jase, Gav, Dimpsey, Snooch and TS? in particular.

I often find with MH you have only to ask and you shall receive (with regards to pairings, the perfect shot to use as an icon, etc...) Best of luck with it, I'm sure it'll be brilliant. ;-D

I haven't been able to get Photoshop onto my new computer but when I do I plan on trying to make some new icons. But for now one of my old ones...gotta love Karl!

I know that I really do, but yesterday was a bad day and seeing/reading that just put me over the edge even more and pissed me off... but so did my dog touching me with his wet nose, so I know they don't mean anything by the piss taking.

I did see the trailer and Fred Batt pissed me off lol I never really liked him (I don't know why because I haven't seen much with him in it, I guess him just being there I hate) lol

I still really wanna see that dvd

I want to have a mess about with photoshop too, but it's so expensive to get a decent (and non-archaic) one. :-( Oh well, when the prices come down, I'll be waiting. ;-)

That's alright, that happens to me a lot (more often than I'd care to admit!)

I've never liked Fred Batt, if I didn't like him before Conwaygate, and I really don't like him now. It's sad that his arrival coincided with David Wells' departure (leading to the suspicion that perhaps his dislike/distain for mediums might have driven a wedge between Karl, Stu, maybe even Yvette, and David.) I'm sure it's just me reading too much into it, but if he says "99.9% of mediums are fake" and suddenly his best mate Karl doesn't trust them either, I couldn't help but wonder. :-(
In the trailer, Fred just seemed out of his comfort zone and lacked the confidence and enthusiasm of Richard Felix (and even Lesley Smith, and I didn't warm to her very much either.) After a while, it just became difficult to watch. My character/imaginary friend Ramesses789 is a Fred/Yvette shipper, although mostly in jest.

I want someone to put it on YouTube so that we can watch it for free! XD

Was going to mention something relevant to this entry at hand, but then I went to the forums and.

Donnis is STILL engaged in his crusade?

He certainly seems to be, he got into a bit of an argument with the natives of the site when he arrived, despite this, we extended the hand of friendship thinking that if he slapped it at least we would have tried. I'm sure he's not a horrible person, he's just got quite an ego on him; not that that's an excuse, mind.

He has his moments- I can at least say that I can remember more good times than bad ones, but it's all so long as you agree with what he says and don't try to debate it. It's not that I dislike him[we'd had some /very/ entertaining conversations back in the day], but am rather very much surprised to see that he's still going at it, without BP at his back and the visible support of numerous internet denizens.

He's still got the BadReligion Forum, which has a few frequent members, but it's nothing like as big as BadPsychics was back in the day.

Also; loove the Ciaran icon. <3

I need to bring back some of my old MH icons.

Thanks. :-D I seem to be amassing a nice collection of MH icons (of Ciaran O'Keeffe and David Wells in the main. ;-) ) I'd like to get one of Richard Felix and Chris Conway on the Psychic and Science tour (I wanna goooooo!!!) as that is my most recent MHOTP. (It's complicated...)

I would love to be able to afford to travel across the pond and attend ANY of these events. xDD

I used to have so many MH icons, but I seem to have lost most of them when my old laptop died. =(
But I DO still have the ones I was using on BadPsychics:

Unfortunately, most are too big for LJ.

I'm sure they'd be brilliant!

That's sad. =(

I LOVE them!!!! XD

I'm grinning like an idiot and laughing like a loon now! XD

He's adorable (and a little bit camp, which never hurts!) :-D

Now I've got the theme from 'Bewitched' in my head. XD

And there is nothing wrong with that and there never will be!! :D

While having a click about on MH:TNG, I noticed that they'd put up the mini bio here for Fred Batt, my first thought was LOL, my second was *Why?*
